The Australian-born actress, who has been in a relationship with Vinyl actor Bobby Cannavale since 2012, gave birth to son Rocco in February (16). And while she appreciates all that motherhood entails, Rose admits to feeling rather exhausted at times.

"I'm still in a fog," she laughed to "I haven’t even left my apartment in three months."

The 36-year-old star adds that she found all the cliches about parenthood she had heard to be "very true", particularly enduring the sleepless nights. Even so, the Bridesmaids star is grateful to be on the learning curve.

"I’m tired, but even so, all of it’s great. But you definitely go into a cocoon," she shared. "Sleep is what makes me feel good at the moment, wherever I can squeeze it in that’s the best thing for now."

While the couple were tight-lipped about the pregnancy towards the end of last year (15), Bobby finally confirmed the news in November. And Rose now reveals that her 46-year-old beau is a very hands-on dad.

"He's terrific. He has a 21-year old (from a former marriage) so this is old hat to him. And I have to say, having someone who's already a parent is great because this is all very, very new to me. So I'm just taking tips from him," she smiled.

Rose did in fact to manage to tear herself away from Rocco for a few hours on Monday night (02May16) to attend the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Benefit in New York.

Showing off her slim figure, Rose wowed in a dazzling metallic Ralph Lauren dress, which boasted a dramatic ruffle around her neckline and shoulders as well as a long train. She hit the red carpet with Bobby, who looked dashing in a classic blue suit.
