Ronan Keating was so terrified during the birth of his first child it put him off having any more kids.
The WHEN YOU SAY NOTHING AT ALL hitmaker says his wife YVONNE had planned on having a large family but the trauma at the birth of first child JACK back in 1999 initially put them off.
He says, "Once we used to say we wanted five or six kids but we've rethought that. I don't know if I could go through that again. I think watching my son being born was the most terrifying experience I've had.
"When he arrived the cord was wrapped around his neck and he wasn't breathing. He was purple. It wasn't natural. I'd imagined him coming out screaming, but there was just this awful silence. The doctors took him away to sort him out.
"It was probably only a few seconds until he started breathing but I could see what was going on and I was terrified. I've never been so scared in my life."
Despite their fears though, the couple did have a second child - MARIE, born in February 2001.
He adds, "Even though our little girl Marie came along without any hassle - she just shot out - the feeling that something could easily go wrong has never gone away."
