Irish singer Ronan Keating has scrapped a gig in Sydney as he prepares to kick off his tour of Australia next month (Mar13).
The Boyzone frontman is currently taking his Fires shows across Europe, and will head Down Under on 1 March to begin the Aussie leg of the tour.
However, Keating has been forced to pull the Sydney stop at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre, citing "unforeseen circumstances".
A statement posted on the venue's website reads, "Due to unforeseen circumstances, MCManus Entertainment must regrettably cancel Ronan Keating's Fires Live 2013 show at Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Tuesday 5 March.
"Although the Newcastle Entertainment Centre date has been cancelled, Ronan Keating will tour Melbourne, (the State Theatre in) Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Perth from Friday 1 March. His Fires Live 2013 Australian Tour will feature good friend and fellow Irishman Brian MCFadden as special guest."
Keating is a judge on the Australian version of The X Factor.
