THE Rolling Stones have agreed a deal with Starbucks which will see the coffee retailer put their upcoming compilation album on sale, despite recent controversy surrounding the coffee company's move into the music retail market.

The SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL hitmakers have signed a non-exclusive contract with Starbucks which will see RARITIES 1971-2003 go on sale in the chain's US outlets when it also hits traditional music shops next month (NOV05).

The band's record label Virgin were keen to steer clear of an exclusive deal after Alanis Morissette and Bob Dylan were boycotted by HMV when they gave advance sales to Starbucks.
