LATEST: Animal rights activists in Belgrade, Serbia have lost their bid to move an upcoming Rolling Stones concert scheduled for the city's racecourse. The activists fear the Hippodrome show in July (07) will distress horses stabled yards from the stage. Promoters have agreed to sedate the creatures for the show, but protestors felt the concert should simply be moved to another venue. Concert organisers are refusing to heed the activists' concerns, explaining the Stones' first-ever concert in Serbia isn't the first rock show to be staged at the venue. Officials at Serbian animal rights group, Orca, now plan to approach the Stones themselves and ask them to insist the concert is relocated.
