THE Rolling Stones have been dropped from a Hong Kong concert line-up - after critics blasted organisers for paying them too much.

The legendary rockers were set to play alongside Westlife and Prince later this month (OCT03) in a bid to attract tourists back to the area following the recent SARS outbreak, which had caused the Stones to cancel their original plans to play on the island earlier this year (03).

However, promoters attracted heavy criticism for spending $9.9 million (GBP6.2 million) of taxpayers's money for the three acts, and have now dropped the BROWN SUGAR stars from the line-up.
