Rocker Rod Stewart made sure things were above board at his daughter's birthday bash last week (ends18JUN06) by making sure guests were legally allowed to drink. Stewart threw a party for his daughter RUBY's 19th birthday at his home in Beverly Hills, inviting 300 of her closest friends. Since his daughter isn't old enough to drink legally in the US, Stewart had security guards at the door checking identification. Only guests over 21-years-old were given wristbands that permitted them to drink alcoholic beverages. Underage guests had to settle for soft drinks. During the course of the evening Stewart personally patrolled the party in his bathrobe, interrupting groups to ask people, 'How old are you?', before double-checking their wristbands.
