Rod Stewart's daughters KIMBERLY and RUBY often failed to see their dad in the audience when they were starring in school plays as youngsters - because he regularly wore masks and wigs.

Kimberly, 26, and Ruby, 18, admit they first realised that their dad was a major star when they didn't see him out in public without his famous features covered up.

Kimberly says, "To go to the park, he'd have to wear a mask, a moustache, glasses and a hat! He was always the creepy guy with the long-haired wig on, hiding!"

Ruby adds, "I'd never be able to recognise him when he came to school plays and stuff. I'd ask, 'Is my dad here?' And he'd be there in the corner in a wig."
