Rock Star Kid Rock has been arrested over a fight that took place in the early hours of Sunday at a restaurant selling waffles in Atlanta, Georgia.
The singer, who is currently promoting his new album Rock N Roll Jesus, entered the restaurant after performing at a concert in the area and allegedly soon became involved in an altercation with another customer.
The scuffle apparently took place after a man, identified by the media as Harlem DeJon Akins, approached a woman in the Cowboy star's entourage and began speaking to her.
Soon afterwards Rock apparently intervened and a fight ensued which damaged property at the restaurant.
A spokesperson for the DeKalb county Police department told the Associated Press agency that friends of the 36-year-old rock star then intervened in the dispute.
The police representative added: "He and five members of his entourage were involved in a fight with a male customer inside the Waffle House.
It escalated to a physical altercation between Kid Rock and that male customer, and moved outside to the parking lot."
Rock then left the restaurant and he and five members of his crew were
subsequently arrested in their tour bus about an hour away from the spot.
The singer was charged with battery and bailed after spending 12 hours in the slammer and paying a $1,000 (£487) fine. Akins was also arrested and charged with battery. He has been ordered to pay a fine for causing damage worth $500 (£243) to a window in the restaurant
where the altercation took place.
In September Rock and Tommy Lee, both former husbands of Pamela Anderson, exchanged blows at the MTV video music awards. The former later said that he had hit Lee for disrespecting him.
