Robin Quivers, Howard Stern's side-kick on his popular radio show, revealed to listeners earlier this week that she had nearly been killed in a hit and run accident. She had been driving down Route 9 in New Jersey on Sunday evening, MSNBC understands, when another car slammed into her and then drove off. The Police later found the offending driver, Robin Crockett, and charged him for leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, reckless driving and operating an unregistered vehicle.

She took to the air the following Monday morning to tell Stern and his listeners that she has been 'almost killed'. I was in a car accident," she explained. "This guy came out of a parking lot or some kind of side street like a maniac and he lost control of his car and he hit me. He spun around in a 360 and hit me." When Stern asked her why she didn't slow down, she explained that she had slowed, but Crockett's car was out of control: He tried to make his turn shorter and he turned in the middle of the road. I was the only car there and he ploughed into my driver's side door." She said he then 'backed up and drove off'. Stern then joked that if she was going to crash her car, then it would be better for her to do it on Thursday or Friday, so he'd have time to prepare for Monday's show.
