Rixton Unveil Debut Single 'Me And My Broken Heart' On March 18th 2014

UK pop band Rixton unveil their debut EP and single 'Me And My Broken Heart' on March 18th 2014, through School Boy/Interscope Records.

The single is also the first release from Rixton's forthcoming debut album, following their signing with manager Scooter Braun and Benny Blanco.

The band originate from Manchester, with long-time writing collaborators Jake and Danny meeting guitarist Charley and later drummer Lewi - that latter of whom was discovered playing pots and pans at a city pub. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Maroon 5 and Bruno Mars, Rixton first garnered attention with a series of YouTube covers, including 'Trouble' by Taylor Swift, 'How We Do (Party)' by Rita Ora, 'Don't Wake Me Up' by Chris Brown and 'Ignition' by R. Kelly. The video for their party tune 'Make Out' gained more than a million views on the video sharing site.

'It's overwhelming to have gone from writing songs in Danny's caravan to seeing the world performing our music', says the band. 'We've worked extremely hard and have had a blast recording the EP.  The songs are very eclectic and we think there's something for everyone!'

'Me and My Broken Heart' marks an introduction to US audiences, with the US premiere taking place on JoJo Wright's show on LA's KIIS FM. The video for the track has been directed by  Cameron Duddy, who has previously worked with the likes of OneRepublic and Grouplove.

Rixton are Jake Roche, Danny Wilkin, Charley Bagnall and Lewi Morgan.
