A man who broke into Ringo Starr's London apartment block collapsed at the scene before dying just days later, a court has heard.
Edward Sharman was caught by security after managing to gain entry into the Beatles drummer's building in the prestigious Chelsea neighbourhood in April, 2008.
But he collapsed unconscious when a police officer arrived, an inquest at the British capital's Westminster Coroner's Court heard on Tuesday (08Jun10).
The 32 year old, who died in hospital five days later, was on bail at the time for burglary, common assault and possessing an offensive weapon.
The hearing continues.
