Rihanna's rumoured boyfriend MATT KEMP has spoken out about his new-found fame since he was linked to the singer, insisting he finds his celebrity status "overwhelming".
The baseball player was first photographed with the Umbrella hitmaker late last year (09) after he reportedly supported her at a New Year's Eve concert in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The pair was later spotted frolicking in Mexico together on a sun-soaked vacation, and enjoying an outing to a basketball game in Los Angeles.
Rihanna recently insisted she is still "single" while Kemp is adamant he is "just good friends" with the Bajan beauty.
And the Los Angeles Dodgers star, who has been offered a string of modelling jobs since he was linked to Rihanna, admits he is baffled about his newly-raised profile.
He tells the Los Angeles Times, "It was a little overwhelming. I don't consider myself a model of no type (sic).
"I guess you get used to it (fame). I don't worry about it now. It's not affecting my work. I haven't seen too many people (photographers) popping out of bushes."
Kemp is also baffled by the attention he receives: "I'm not a celebrity. I'm a baseball player, man."
