The Diamonds star, who is known for her love of the recreational drug, was alleged to have announced plans for her MaRihanna line while attending the Cannabis Cup in Negril, Jamaica earlier this month (Nov15).

"MaRihanna by Rihanna is truly the first mainstream cannabis brand in the world and I'm proud to be a pioneer," she is quoted as saying at the event. "MaRihanna is blazing a trail for the industry."

Reports suggested the Bajan pop star's line would feature different strains of the plant, as well as edibles and concentrates, and launch early next year (16) in Alaska, Oregon, Washington and Colorado.

However, a spokesperson for Rihanna has since dismissed the claims, telling New York Magazine the report is "completely untrue".

Music-loving marijuana fans will have to satisfy themselves with the other celebrity-branded products on the market, including rapper Snoop Dogg's newly-launched Leafs by Snoop collection of weed strains, while The Weeknd and Wiz Khalifa both have their own marijuana vaporisers. Country music star Willie Nelson is also planning to open up a chain of pot dispensaries throughout America to distribute his Willie Weed line.
