Rihanna would have signed up for a TV talent show if she hadn't been discovered as a teenager - because she was determined to achieve her dream of stardom.
The Bajan beauty was signed to Jay-Z's Def Jam label in 2005 when she was just 16 and she subsequently shot to international fame.
But Rihanna admits if she hadn't found success so easily, she would have persevered - and would happily have signed up to a reality show such as American Idol to boost her career prospects.
She says, "I would have done anything to get here, any way that I had to. If I had to go on a TV show then I would have done that."
