CHRISTINA AGUILERA has announced the name of her much anticipated new album, as well as a release date, reports The Hollywood Reporter. It will be Aguilera’s first album since 2010’s ‘Bionic.’

The new album will be entitled, Lotus and will be hitting stores in November, and the ‘Stronger’ singer didn’t just come up with the title at a whim: “Representing an unbreakable flower that survives under the hardest conditions and still thrives,” she wrote, explaining the title choice. She also made time to tell everyone about her new single, ‘Your Body,’ which will be out on September 14th, and has promised a small video teaser during the Monday, Sept. 17, episode of The Voice. The music video was shot in August and is directed by Melina Matsoukas, who directed Rihanna’s (award winning) “We Found Love” video.

“There are some beautiful personal ballads on this album. I wouldn't do a record without them,” she tweeted on Wednesday. Aguilara is a busy girl, all this new album stuff has had to fit in with hit TV show The Voice, which has recently beaten The X-Factor for viewing figures in America. The talent contest, which follows many of The X-Factors tropes, is a blind-judged singing competition, which adds an extra element to the show. The blind auditions began on Monday, Sept. 10.
