British Rocker Ricky Wilson Is Fighting To Save A Hospital Emergency Room In His Home County Amid Fears A Local Community Will Be Left Without Life-saving Services.
The Kaiser Chiefs frontman is backing a campaign to maintain the Accident and Emergency Department at the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary in West Yorkshire, England amid plans to shut the unit and relocate services to a town almost 10 (16.1 kilometres) miles away.
Ricky is urging fans to support the drive by signing a petition which could make sure the matter is debated by British politicians in Parliament.
He added a link to the petition on his Twitter.com page and added, "They're not asking for money. Just a signature... Link to Huddersfield A&E closure petition here... FYI (for your information) it's against the closure... Don't worry if you don't get the confirmation email straight away. If you sign it, it will come."
Ricky grew up around 20 miles (27 kilometres) away from the hospital in the West Yorkshire city of Leeds.
