Pop star Ricky Martin is struggling to attract fans to attend his live shows in Australia.

The Livin' La Vida Loca hitmaker is currently touring Down Under for the first time in a decade, but after failing to attract audiences, an online coupon website has struck a deal to sell tickets to the Ricky Martin Live Australian Tour for half price.

Cudo.com.au is advertising seats at the star's Sydney gigs on 18 and 19 October (13) on its website, in a post which reads, "Last Chance Tickets to See Global Superstar Ricky Martin!"

Seats were originally valued at $152 (£101) but have since been slashed to $69 (£46) following a lack of demand.

==============UPDATE==============

Since publication of this article Ricky Martin's publicist has clarified the story, revealing, "The discount coupon mentioned was a last minute promotion by an event promoter when ADDITIONAL SEATS including limited view were ADDED to meet fan demand for the already SOLD-OUT Sydney shows." He adds, "In fact, multiple shows of Ricky's Australian tour were sold-out." It is now clear that the story published is incorrect as Martin's two shows in Sydney have sold out.
