Latino hunk Ricky Martin is launching a campaign against sexual exploitation and the trafficking of children.

The 32-year-old singer emotionally discusses the subject - in Spanish English and Portuguese - on a series of soon-to-be aired American TV ads in conjunction with his recently established foundation PEOPLE FOR CHILDREN.

Martin says, "About one million children are forced into prostitution in Asia while the number in Latin America is much bigger. It's a spiritual and existential genocide."

He also reveals that two million children are victims of human trafficking each year - 85 per cent of these youngsters contract HIV because they are forced into the thriving sexual tourism trade.
