The Livin' La Vida Loca hunk 'came out' as a homosexual in 2010, two years after becoming a dad to twin boys, Matteo and Valentino, via a surrogate mother.

Ricky has been single ever since confirming his split from his longtime boyfriend, Carlos Gonzalez, in early 2014, and although he wants to find love with another man, the 44-year-old insists he wouldn't turn down the opportunity of bedding a beautiful woman if he felt a sexual connection.

"I know that I like both men and women," he tells Mexican magazine Fama!. "I'm against sexual labels, we are simply human beings with emotional and sexual needs.

"I am gay, men fascinate me, but I like to enjoy sex in total freedom, so I'm open to having sex with a woman if I feel (the) desire."

However, Ricky insists he is not interested in entering a proper relationship with a woman, clarifying: "Men are my thing."

The pop star goes on to admit he is eager to find a man to build a future with, as he is still hoping to settle down and marry - but any potential partner must share his sense of humour.

"For me that paper is important," he says. "I also love the romanticism behind it. I am single now after (being in a relationship for) seven years...

"I like to have a conversation, looking into someone's eyes and finding out their sense of humour. I'm not saying you have to be an Adonis, but you have to connect."

Earlier on in his career, before Ricky went public with his sexuality in 2010, he enjoyed an on/off relationship with Mexican TV host Rebecca de Alba for more than 14 years.
