Ricki Lake, the American talk show host, celebrated a score of 23 points for her performance on Monday's Dancing With The Stars. Ricki and partner Derek Hough were the evening's highest scorers, but it was bad news for Chaz Bono who finished in last place, reports the Associated Press.
Bono, who made a respectable start to the competition, appeared out-of-sorts and struggled with the routine. After his performance, Chaz explained, "My knees just hurt so much". The author and activist is now counting on viewer votes for tonight's episode, but he is the favourite to become the second celebrity to be eliminated. Inspired by former contestant Kirstie Alley, Lake has dropped four inches from her hips and four from her waist after three weeks of intense training. After her well-received routine, the talk show host said, "I'm really getting in great shape.I'll be wearing less and less clothing. The smaller I get, the less will be covered". Elsewhere on an action packed show, Nancy Grace suffered a wardrobe malfunction during her routine to "It Don't Mean a Thing (If it Ain't Got That Swing), much to her and partner Tristian Macmanus' embarrassment. After the mishap, host Tom Bergeron noted, "On the European version.that would be perfectly fine".
Despite Ricki Lake's impressive showing, reality star Kristin Cavallari is still considered one of the favourites to win the competition - she scored 22 on Monday.
