Raul Caiz is suing the Hustlin' star and bosses at Def Jam Records and Universal Music Group for trademark infringement, unjust enrichment and misappropriation, claiming the 39 year old began using his stage name, Mastermind, without his permission.

Ross' sixth studio album is titled Mastermind, and according to the lawsuit, Ross has been referring to himself using the moniker since 2013. However, Caiz claims he has been going by the name Mastermind for 17 years and has had it trademarked.

In February (15), Caiz reportedly sent a cease and desist letter to Ross, but he never got a response.

He alleges his trademark's value has been diminished and he is seeking $2 million in damages and an injunction to stop Ross from using the moniker, according to Bossip.com.
