Actor Richard Gere fled Sarajevo, Bosnia after just 10 days because he was too scared to stay in the area - despite the city now flourishing as a budding tourist spot. Gere plays a reporter hunting notorious Balkans war crimes fugitive RADOVAN KARADZIC in new movie SPRING BREAK IN BOSNIA, but allegedly kept filming in the once war-torn city brief because he was terrified of its reputation. The crew are now filming the remainder of the movie in nearby Croatia. A spokesperson for the film's on-location PR team tells British newspaper The Times, "I think that is always the case (of them being scared). In the newspapers you only hear about the war and landmines. "The entire crew was sorry to leave. At least that is what I would like to think."
