Twenty of the 700 people who signed up to board the first of Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic space flights have asked for refunds after a test take-off turned disastrous last month (31Oct14).

One of the company's tourism rockets crashed in the Mojave Desert, California killing co-pilot Michael Alsbury and now a spokesman tells The Hollywood Reporter "about 20" people have requested refunds following the crash.

It is not known if any of the people hoping to cancel their flights are celebrities - Leonardo DiCaprio, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Ashton Kutcher are among the stars heading for the stars.
