Reese Witherspoon has named her lifestyle company Draper James.

The 'Legally Blonde' actress is following in the footsteps of Gwyneth Paltrow with a GOOP-like venture, but few details of her new project were known until now.

E! Online have revealed Reese has been hard at work building up the brand, which she has named in honour of her grandparents, and is planning to open the first of several retail stores in 2015.

A description reads: ''This multi-channel lifestyle brand founded by Reese Witherspoon will emphasize her southern roots and personal style. The first store will open in 2015.''

A trademark application filed by the mother-of-three - who has children Ava, 14, and Deacon, 10, with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe and 19-month-old son Tennessee with her current spouse Jim Toth - apparently lists hundreds of items.

The products included in Reese's ambitious new empire are handbags, kitchenware, bath products, lingerie, perfume, make-up, swimwear, stationary, baby items and furniture, to name just a few.

Last month, the 38-year-old star announced she was setting up a lifestyle company and had hired Andrea Hyde, the former president of C. Wonder, French Connection and Nicole Farhi, to act as her CEO.
