A one-of-a kind guitar signed by the Red Hot Chili Peppers when they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last year (12) is hitting the auction block.

Frontman Anthony Kiedis and bandmates Flea, Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer, as well as former drummers Cliff Martinez and Jack Irons, all autographed the Ebony Les Paul Custom guitar, which was made for the 2012 induction ceremony.

The instrument has now been put up for auction by bosses at the Rock & Roll museum in Cleveland, Ohio, to raise money for the institution's education schemes.

The electric guitar is expected to pull in as much as $8,000 (£5,000) when the sale closes on the Charity Buzz website on 12 March (13).
