Red Dragon director Brett Ratner has moved in with his movie mogul icon Robert Evans, because the producer's Hollywood home is better than any hotel.

Ratner, 33, has been living in a guest house on legendary producer Evans' estate for the past six months and he hopes to extend his stay to a year because he loves living in the lap of luxury.

The director says, "My house was under construction and I just moved in. Bob has nine servants, so his house is better than any hotel.

"He gives me advice on my deals, what movie I should do, or helps me write letters. He's my mentor; just like any father figure... Everybody comes over and pays homage to him."
