Razorlight could be on the verge of splitting up just as they prepare to scoop a number of gongs at Britain's biggest music awards ceremony.
The band are tipped to do well at the Brits later this month, in the running for Best Band among other titles, but the stress of touring appears to be getting to them after coming to blows on stage in France.
Performing at a show in Lyon, onlookers were amazed when bass player Carl Dalemo squared up to lead singer Johnny Borrell as they played one of their hits.
A clearly inebriated Carl pushed the band's front man, scuffling with him before being separated by other band members and security.
The band promptly left the stage only for drummer Andy Burrows to return to apologise to the crowd.
After a delay the group eventually played out the remainder of the show, but The Clash will reignite fears the band could be on the verge of cracking under the pressure of touring.
Andy later insisted to the Daily Mirror the matter was finished and denied there were any "hard feelings", although this is not the first time the group has come to blows.
Last October Johnny and Andy were seen rowing in a pub in London following an awards show, although at the time the band played down the significance of the incident.
