MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE, the American TNT sitcom written by 'Everybody Loves Raymond' star Ray Romano and screenwriter MIKE ROYCE, premiered its second season on 6th December 2010 and the new series has been met with rave reviews. The show stars Romano, Andre Braugher and Scott Bakula as three best friends who attempt to deal with middle aged life.
In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, Romano, Braugher and Bakula spoke about the making of the new season and where they plan to take the show next. It has been reported that despite the focus of the program being on the relationship between three forty-something men, the majority of the first season's audience were women. Discussing the issue, 53-year-old Romano joked, "The cast's total sex appeal. Though I tell you what I don't bring, I don't bring a derriere". Braugher added, "I have enough to cover both these guys!" Romano went on to say, "Maybe why they're watching is because we're not showing wild, unrealistic stuff. Our characters have recognizable jobs; they deal with family things".
Episode 3 of season two aired on TNT last night (20th December 2010) to favourable reviews. The Los Angeles Times noted, "The good thing is they make even the depressing parts of growing old watchable".
