Country stars Rascal Flatts have become the latest musicians to enter the restaurant business.
The I Like the Sound of That hitmakers have set their sights on opening a new eatery in a waterfront redevelopment in Cleveland, Ohio, which is currently under construction.
The venue, which has yet to be named, is described as an "eclectic space" mixing "country themes with rustic and industrial stylings", while the restaurant will feature a large patio area and indoor performance space, reports Cleveland.com.
"A restaurant supported by a national name like Rascal Flatts is the perfect addition to the Flats East Bank," explained developer Scott Wolstein. "From the beginning, we set out to build an urban waterfront destination, and we're excited to be able to offer this type of concept in conjunction with our existing restaurants and entertainment venues."
The venue is expected to be open for business by the autumn (16).
The Rascal Flatts stars have strong ties to Ohio - Gary LeVox and Jay DeMarcus were born in Columbus, while LeVox also graduated from Ohio State University.
The band joins fellow country star-turned-restaurateur Dierks Bentley, who owns the Whiskey Row franchise, while Robert De Niro, Eva Longoria, and Justin Timberlake are just some of the other famous faces who have tasted success with their own eateries.
