British actor Ralph Fiennes is set to play HAMLET on the London stage for the second time in a decade.

THE ENGLISH PATIENT star, 41, plans to perform William Shakespeare's tragedy at an off-West End venue next autumn (05) after he has completed acting duties on a number of films, including Harry Potter AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE.

Fiennes first took to the stage as the Danish Prince in 1995 to critical acclaim.

Theatre producer THELMA HOLT says, "Ralph simply wants to do it again. He wants to do it in a way that makes people listen to the play.

"All the people who have played Hamlet feel as if they haven't got it as exactly as they want it to be. The better the actor, the more dissatisfied he is."
