Rachael Ray is set to air her daytime show in 3D today (29th October 2010), and it is believed to be the first time that the genre has used the innovative technology. However, on November 15th, Ray will make further history by staging what is billed as 'the world's largest cooking demonstration', reports the New York Daily News.
Today's 3D Halloween themed 'Rachael Ray Show' has seen her usual set undergo a complete redesign, with special equipment being brought in for the episode. However, Ray says not all of the show will be broadcast in 3D, noting, "We try to let them know when it's time to put on your glasses". Ray has already filmed the episode, which features Pee Wee Herman, PENN & Teller, and her husband JOHN CUSIMANO, and speaking about the filming, Ray said, "I had the best day. It was the only time in our history we only shot one episode in a day".
The television personality says she approached the Guinness World Records staff to enquire about the current 'cooking demonstration' record, and was told there was no such record. Therefore on November 15th, she will demonstrate a cooking skill in her studio, which will be copied by hundreds in Los Angeles.
