Ra Ra Riot Announces Us 2013 Fall Tour Dates

Following their run of spring tour dates with The Postal Service and The Shins plus a slew of summer festivals,Ra Ra Riot headlines tour dates across the U.S. this fall. Next week, the band will release a limited edition of their new album Beta Love on cassette tape on Workingman Records with only 100 copies made available in three colors. The band also has a new remix of "Angel, Please" remixed by Little Daylight.

Ra Ra Riot has consistently sold out venues across the country while receiving critical praise for their live show including their two sold-out New York dates this winter at Music Hall of Williamsburg and Webster Hall. Of their spring live dates Salt Lake City Weekly said, "it should come as no surprise that The Shins welcomed this indie-pop group to share the spotlight. Whether the attention is zoomed in on the high-energy grooves of guitarist Milo Bonacci, the swift sweepings of Rebecca Zeller's violin, or frontman Wes Miles' impressive vocal range, Ra Ra Riot evoke a tastefully feel-good liveliness."  The Cincinnati Enquirer heralded "the presence of violin and cello in their live act did not bind Ra Ra Riot to a corresponding predictable sound. Instead, the band's 45-minute set went mainly in the direction of synthpop, following the path of the band's new record "Beta Love." Please see the full list of tour dates below.

The songs on Beta Love are informed by the works of cyberpunk novelist William Gibson and futurist Ray Kurzweil, and the album marks the band's first recording as a four-piece with members Wes Miles on vocals, Milo Bonacci on guitar, Mathieu Santos on bass and Rebecca Zeller on violin.

The New York Times lauded Beta Love as "songs of direct melodic and emotional thrust" while Billboard raved, "Beta Love is a bold sea change for Ra Ra Riot, brimming with confidence and hint of uncertainty that lends an agreeable edge to the proceedings."  The album has also fired up the band's fan base with the title track and "When I Dream" hitting the top ten most viral songs on Spotify indicating high numbers of listens and shares across the internet.

Formed in the basements and attics surrounding Syracuse University in 2006, Ra Ra Riot released their debut The Rhumb Line on Barsuk in 2008. NPR Music said their 2010 release The Orchard's "10 songs positively burst with sophistication, precision and polish."
