Queen Latifah is to perform at the Long Beach Pride festival tomorrow (19.05.12).

The singer-and-actress will be the star attraction at the annual event in California, which celebrates the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.

Long Beach Pride Co-President Pat Crosby stated on the event's site: ''For her to make her worldwide Pride debut here in Long Beach is a tremendous testament to the popularity of our Celebration and to the strength of our community.''

The 'Chicago' star has been the subject of speculation she is a lesbian herself but she has always refused to comment on her love life and has previously said it's nobody's business whether she is gay or not.

She said in 2008: ''I don't feel like I need to share my personal life, and I don't care if people think I'm gay or not.''

Latifah, 41, also has said she would like to adopt in the future, saying: ''I'm definitely going to adopt - or have - a child. I've wanted to adopt since I was 17 or 18 years old.''
