Queen Elizabeth II's husband the Duke Of Edinburgh has left hospital in Scotland after receiving treatment for a bladder infection.
Prince Philip was admitted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary last Wednesday (15Aug12) with a recurrence of the illness he suffered in June (12), when he spent five nights in hospital recovering.
The 91-year-old royal missed a church service on Sunday (19Aug12) as doctors continued to observe him, but he was released from the facility on Monday morning (20Aug12).
He seemed in a happy mood as he departed the hospital, shaking the hands of medical staff who lined up outside the facility to wish him well, before being driven away.
Senior staff nurse Denise Webster told reporters, "The Duke was a very good patient, and as he left the hospital he told staff to behave themselves and he said he was going back to enjoy the rest of his holiday."
