The incarcerated members of Russian feminist punk band Pussy Riot will have to wait until later this month (Oct12) to have their appeal heard in court after Monday's (01Oct12) hearing was postponed.

Three bandmates have been sentenced to two years behind bars for hooliganism motivated by religious hatred following an anti-Putin protest in Moscow earlier this year (12).

They were due to appear before Moscow City Court on Monday to officially lodge their appeal, but the hearing was pushed back after one of the women, Yekaterina Samutsevich, fired her lawyers following a disagreement over the handling of the case.

The court date has been pushed back until 10 October (10) to allow Samutsevich time to find new representation.
