Puddle Of Mudd rocker Wes Scantlin has been cleared over his arrest at a Texas airport in September (12) after a judge ruled there is "insufficient evidence" to prosecute the star for public intoxication.

The singer was escorted off a JetBlue plane bound for Los Angeles during an emergency stop at the Bergstrom International Airport in Austin after he reportedly quarrelled with a flight attendant.

He was charged with public intoxication, but the star insisted he was sober at the time of the incident.

The case went to court in Texas this week (beg19Nov12) and a judge dismissed the charge against the star due to "insufficient evidence", according to Tmz.com.

The rocker faced a possible prison sentence if the case against him had proceeded after pleading guilty to a charge of felony cocaine possession in July (12). He was ordered by a judge to stay out of trouble for 18 months.
