Priscilla Presley, her daughter Lisa Marie Presley and granddaughter RILEY KEOUGH thrilled homeless families in Memphis, Tennessee, over the Christmas (04) holiday when they turned up to visit a new family housing project.
Those being offered housing in the new Presley Place were delighted to hear a celebrity was coming to pay a seasonal visit - but they had no idea the Presley girls would be turning up together.
The project, a joint venture between the ELVIS PRESLEY CHARITABLE FOUNDATION and the METROPOLITAN INTER-FAITH ASSOCIATION, will house dozens of families annually.
Lisa Marie officially opened the shelter in July 2001, and it has since become a shelter for more than 13 adults and 32 children.
Lisa Marie admits her father ELVIS would have been delighted with the idea: "When my father moved from Tupelo, Mississippi, to Memphis with his family, they lived in a place called the Lauderdale estates which was a similar family housing project.
"He always had that in the back of his mind to continue."04/01/2005 08:59
