Representatives for Prince have demanded record label bosses remove the superstar's famous symbol from the cover of an upcoming Michael Jackson album.
The symbol, which the Purple Rain hitmaker once used as his stage name, mysteriously featured in the original artwork for Michael, which features a painted collage of pictures and icons.
Artist Kadir Nelson claims he based the design on "key moments and important people in Michael Jackson's life".
But the glyph has now been removed after a request from Prince's camp.
A statement from Prince's rep on Drfunkenberry.com reads: "No permission was granted. Sony Entertainment has removed the symbol."
