A representative for Prince William and his pregnant wife Catherine, Duchess Of Cambridge has thanked fans for their well wishes as the expectant mum recovers in hospital from a bad bout of morning sickness.
The British royals confirmed speculation they are set to become first-time parents on Monday (03Dec12), as the former Kate Middleton was admitted to London's King Edward VII Hospital with the condition hyperemesis gravidarum.
A spokesman for the couple insists the princess is doing well but will stay under doctors' care for a few more days.
The rep says, "The Duchess of Cambridge is continuing to feel better. She and the Duke are immensely grateful for the good wishes they have received. She will remain in hospital at present and will continue to be treated for hyperemesis gravidarum."
Catherine, who wed Prince William last year (11), has cancelled all public engagements for the rest of the week (begs03Dec12) as a result of her illness.
