British royal Prince Edward and his wife SOPHIE are learning French because they spend so much time in the European country.
The regal couple enrolled at London's exclusive INSTITUT FRANCAIS last year (04) and have made remarkable progress in improving their grasp of conversational French.
An insider says, "They've got friends who live in France and they very much love the country. They go over there quite a lot on holiday and they thought it would be very useful, not only for that, but also for their work.
"Of course, the Queen (ELIZABETH II) is fluent in French. So far, they are really enjoying it and can now have a fairly good conversation."02/02/2005 13:43
