Following on from the bombastic debut of first single 'Prophet's 'cosmic pop', Zhala released her next single, 'I'm in Love', today.
'I'm In Love' is a fittingly euphoric pop meditation on what makes the world go round, with Zhala's hypnotic vocals orbiting around an infectious marimba refrain.
Since 'Prophet' burst onto the airwaves earlier this year, Zhala has spent the summer playing festivals in Scandinavia (Way Out West, Popaganda) and supporting Robyn & Röyksopp on their sold-out North American 'Do It Again' tour, joining the Norwegian duo at select shows to performKarin Dreijer's iconic vocals from 'What Else Is There' and 'This Must Be It'.
Zhala (Rifat) was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. Becoming deeply involved in the local art and club scene in her late teens, Zhala further developed her nascent talents as an artist through dance, singing and live shows. Eventually, she caught the attention of Swedish superstar Robyn, who signed Zhala to her label Konichiwa Records in 2014.
The band performed the album in full at Eaux Claires Music & Arts Festival this summer.
The band's first and only album has been re-mixed and re-mastered.
