Movida Corona Launches Search For Superstar Dj With Mixcloud
Calling all House DJs for the kick off of the 2013 worldwide contest
Corona Extra is giving up-and-coming UK DJs the chance to catapult their career onto the international dance music stage and appear at Pacha, Ibiza, taking a giant step towards becoming the next Super-star DJ. To start your journey to the white isle, simply upload your 30 minute mix to Mixcloud.com
From Denmark to Dubai and Germany to Greece; DJs will be hoping to lift the international Movida Corona 2013 crown, winning the ultimate, money-can't-buy prize - the chance to perform at one of the world's most coveted residencies, Pacha, headline the 2014 Movida Corona tour and record three mixes with Pacha Recordings.
If you think you've got what it takes to compete for the coveted title of Movida Corona Champion 2013, you can upload your own 30 minute mix to Mixcloud.com at www.mixcloud.com/movidacoronauk/ until 12th May and get friends and fans to show their support.
The UK winner will receive a range of prizes including Corona Extra beer, flights to and accommodation in Ibiza to compete in the International Grand Finale in Ibiza.
The twenty most popular entries in each region, determined by the highest number of engagements, including plays, comments, favourites and Facebook shares, will then be judged by the panel - so make sure you promote your mix. Eight successful DJs will then go through to each regional event to compete for a place in the UK final at the end of August. The winner will represent the UK in the International Grand Finale at Pacha's closing party in Ibiza on the 5th of October.
The UK regional 'play-offs' will culminate in an extravagant national final at an exciting, yet to be announced, secret UK location at the end of August which will be organised by renowned party people, Secret Party Project. In addition to the parties themselves, clubbers at each regional event will be in with a chance of winning a trip to Mexico later this year as part of Corona Extra's big summer campaign, Beach Break.
The Movida Corona regional play-off tour will take place during June-July 2013 in the following:
Andy Milford, UK Marketing and Promotions Coordinator for Corona Extra and former Movida Corona Champion, comments: "Movida Corona has been showcasing and launching up-and-coming DJs into the spotlight for over a decade and is proud to be able introduce fresh UK DJ talent to an incredible international platform. We are expecting up to a thousand British DJs to take to the decks and enter the competition this year, so get your thirty minute mix uploaded to Mixcloud and start boosting your profile and plays to be in with a chance of playing at Pacha.
Andy continues: "What's more, with the help of Secret Party Project this year, not only DJs will have the time of their lives; anyone who enjoys house music can get involved. Whether they compete themselves or head along to support the participating DJs at any one of the seven regional Corona Extra parties across the UK, the Movida Corona experience can be enjoyed by all - especially if you're one of the lucky winners of a trip to Mexico with Corona Extra's Beach Break."
Stay tuned for a whole host of exciting announcements to follow, including a list of the successful DJs, Beach Break prizes, regional party venues and dates and the secret location of the UK final, yet to be revealed.
