London-based three-piece Waylayers have announced the joint UK/US release of their new single 'Medicine' ahead of new European tour dates and an appearance at the SXSW Festival.
2013 was a standout year for the trio that saw them not only win major support from various radio stations and music publications, but also saw the band break the US Billboard Top 100 as well as the US Alternative Top 50 and iTunes Top 50 Charts.
If that wasn't enough, the trio who have been on the tip of everyone's tongues have been endorsed by Ray-Ban, had track 'Magnets' selected for a major US clothing brand's promotional campaign, and their music also released through trend-setting French label Kitsune.
Now the trio are back and better than ever with their trademark pulsating rhythms, infectiously deep grooves and unforgettable synth-pop inspired hooks as they gear up for the release of their sensationally euphoric single 'Medicine'. Recently premiered on The Fly ahead of their headline Fly Awards show at London's Jazz Cafe, 'Medicine' is built around a relaxed synth and heavy backbeat, juxtaposed with an instantly memorable arena-style chorus that further cements the band's reputation as serious contenders for seemingly inevitable worldwide success.
'Medicine' will be released on March 3rd 2014, while Waylayers have also been confirmed for this year's SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas, along with a string of major European and American tour dates to be announced.
