Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers made a needle's-eye leap onto the US music circuit in 2012, bringing a refreshing sound, spirited stage show and a now famous video on YouTube that introduced them to new audiences worldwide.
Since then, the San Francisco-based six-piece and its striking front woman with a girl-next-door demeanor have gained recognition for their brand of California folk-rock, brisk Americana and show-stopping soul, punctuated with fresh four-part harmonies, crisp rock guitar and Nicki's soaring, nuanced vocals that the Boston Herald said "shows a bit of Janis, Etta and Amy".
After playing an average of 150 shows a year over the last two years including noteworthy appearances at US festivals this year such as Bonnaroo and Newport Folk, this will be Nicki's debut European tour. Joining her on the dates are husband Tim Bluhm (the Mother Hips, Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers) and guitarist Scott Law. Together they will perform as an acoustic trio and plays songs from the newly released Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblersalbum as well as from Driftwood (2011) and Duets (2010).
