Los Angeles based Lo-Fang prepares for his debut album next year with the release of a limited 12" double A-side single, '#88' / 'Boris'.
Matthew Hemerlein, the man behind Lo-Fang, is classically trained in violin, cello, bass, piano and guitar, performing all the instruments on his debut album, Blue Film. Due to be released next year, the album was written and recorded in rural Maryland, hotels and studios in Cambodia, London, Nashville, before being completed in the legendary Capitol Studios in Los Angeles with Grammy-winning producer Francois Tetaz. Highly detailed, the record has roots in electronic, R&B, classical and folk music, cast through a pop prism.
