New York indie-pop band Lemuria will return to the UK this July as part of their European tour, following the release of their third album The Distance Is So Big, through Bridge9 Records on 17th June.
The band have just premiered the album track 'Oahu, Hawaii', which can be streamed through Bridge9 Records' Soundcloud. Featuring the sweet melodies and arresting lyrical content for which the band are known, 'Oahu, Hawaii' showcases a more refined and mature sound - an approach that continues throughout The Distance Is So Big. The band were reunited with producer J Robbins (Against Me!, Jawbreaker, The Promise Ring), who leant his skills to last album Pebble.
Band member Max Gregor said: "For a long time, we've felt especially embraced and supported by the music community across the UK. We knew, when we started recording the new album, that we wanted to get over there as soon as possible after the release, in the same way we wanted to play Boston, Buffalo, and our other home bases. We're happy these plans are working out!"
