Gent Mason releases his debut EP 'Eden' on Aesop on October 7th. The London born and bred producer hones in on his love of American Hip Hop/R&B and a time largely documented by way of Yo! MTV Raps with the culture rising into commercial prominence to power the distorted and disjointed rhythms that run through his sound.
He's put together a 20 minute mix of original material, perfectly exemplifying him as a producer giving insight into his processes and what's to come from him in the near future.
While Gent Mason's influences are apparent and his style and talent are his own craftsmanship, the distinctive approach to his sound was in large part due to the wisdom passed on to him by none other than Jimmy Douglass, the man responsible for collaborating in the studio with Timbalandfor over a decade, working on albums for Aaliyah, Missy Elliott, Jay Z, and Justin Timberlake among others.
The Eden EP is released on Aesop as a limited 12" and download.
