The dates for the 2013 Truro & Penwith College Fal River Festival have been announced, with organisers promising the biggest and best event yet.
Running from Friday, May 24 until Sunday, June 2, the 10-day festival, which is now one of the largest in Cornwall, celebrates life in, on and around the Fal River.
Established in 2006, this year's Festival will encompass over 150 events and will offer a diverse mix of culture, music, arts, food, literature, drama, industry, events, gardens, sports and history.
Festival director, Dot Peryer, said: "The festival offers something for everyone and a chance to engage with life on the Fal River and discover some of its history and heritage.
"The Fal River is Cornwall's most popular visitor destination and the festival is a chance to really celebrate the places, people, history and culture that are connected by this very Cornish river."
During 2012 around 110,000 people attended events, with something for everyone.
Events lined up for this year include: the opening Beer Fleet Launch which sees a flotilla of boats sailing from Truro to Falmouth; the Fal River Walk taking in beautiful areas of the Roseland; the RNLI Castle To Castle Swim which fills to capacity each year seeing many celebrity names; the Fal Fish Festival featuring well known chefs; and specially commissioned performances and events from Falmouth University.

The show will be seen by everybody at the same time.
