Prepare to be introduced to Cut Ribbons, they've been biding their time in the West Wales countryside developing at their own pace and on their own terms. They return with new EP, Sail, which features new lead track, Walking On Wires, out October 20.
Lead singer, Aled Rees says, 'Sail was written in our studio in Llanelli and it has some lighter shades than our previous work. Walking on Wires is a song that we have had, in one form or another, for quite a while and has always remained fun to play live, now we are stopping greedily keeping it to ourselves, and are unleashing it.'
Working with producers Rocky O'Reilly and Jeremy Murphy, the band have created a sound that contrasts their brightest pop with their most somber heartbreak, Aled and Anna's lead vocals entwining and breaking apart across four glorious tracks.
Sail leads the way for their debut album, due early 2015 on Kissability. Following a busy summer that the band have spent playing festivals around the UK and Europe and fresh from a tour supporting Thumpers, Cut Ribbons have arrived.
And they are a force to be reckoned with.
